Projects

Cultural survival depends on physical survival, yet many villages lack clean drinking water and access to basic medical care, leading to preventable illness and vulnerability. Our work focuses on clean-water systems, emergency medical assistance, and support for elders and at-risk families to improve health outcomes and resilience. As recognized by the World Health Organization, access to clean water remains the most cost-effective way to reduce disease and enable communities to thrive.

We pair water infrastructure with hands-on vocational training so community members can build, maintain, and repair their own systems over time. By investing in local skills alongside clean-water access, we ensure these life-saving systems remain reliable, locally stewarded, and resilient for future generations.

Projects:

Project Name
Clean Water Wells
Duration
2015
to 2025
Description
We’re bringing clean, reliable drinking water to Noke Koi villages so families can live, heal, and remain rooted in their ancestral lands. By pairing modern water systems with local training and stewardship, we protect health while strengthening long-term cultural continuity.
A nourished community is the foundation of long-term stability, cultural continuity, and well-being. We strengthen local food systems through initiatives such as fish stocking, small-scale animal husbandry, nutritional support, and regenerative food projects that reduce dependency and improve health. UNICEF identifies food security as a key factor in community resilience, education, and the preservation of cultural traditions.

Food security is further strengthened through practical training in food production, preservation, and trade, allowing families to move from subsistence to surplus. These skills support local markets and inter-village exchange, keeping food systems—and economic value—within the community.

Project Zuri – Supporting Sustainable Indigenous Fisheries
Duration
2015

Project Name
Hunger Relief and Food Security
Duration
2015
to 2025
Description
We deliver essential nutrition, livestock, and seeds to remote villages, supporting growing families and combating hunger. Our mission is to build long-term food sustainability through permaculture and education, ensuring the Noke Koi community has access to vital calories and protein.
Shelter provides both physical protection and a sense of belonging, particularly in villages where homes also serve as centers for ceremony, teaching, and communal life. By repairing homes, building gathering spaces, and establishing cultural centers, we help ensure safety while reinforcing the structures that sustain tradition and identity. Strengthening this infrastructure protects not only people, but the living culture that connects generations.

We train community members to build, repair, and maintain homes and cultural centers using local materials and traditional knowledge. This ensures that these spaces remain safe, functional, and culturally rooted, without long-term reliance on outside support.
