Shelter provides both physical protection and a sense of belonging, particularly in villages where homes also serve as centers for ceremony, teaching, and communal life. By repairing homes, building gathering spaces, and establishing cultural centers, we help ensure safety while reinforcing the structures that sustain tradition and identity. Strengthening this infrastructure protects not only people, but the living culture that connects generations.
We train community members to build, repair, and maintain homes and cultural centers using local materials and traditional knowledge. This ensures that these spaces remain safe, functional, and culturally rooted, without long-term reliance on outside support.
